The Butterfly Foundation is the mentoring and youth support division of Bright Futures Group Homes for Youth, Inc., dedicated to supporting at-risk youth and their families throughout Prince George’s County as they navigate critical life transitions. We serve youth exiting Department of Juvenile Services facilities, youth returning to their communities, and middle and high school students entering Prince George’s County Public Schools by providing twice-weekly mentoring focused on life skills development, goal setting, academic support, and positive peer engagement. Through strong partnerships with PGCPS and PG Parks & Recreation, we offer school advocacy, credit recovery support, safe spaces for programming, weekend enrichment activities, and access to community-based resources. We recognize that lasting youth success is deeply connected to family stability, which is why we also provide families with resource navigation, hygiene kits, mediation, and ongoing support. Donations to the Butterfly Foundation directly fund consistent mentoring relationships, academic assistance, family support services, and enrichment opportunities that promote stability, reduce recidivism, strengthen families, and help young people build brighter, more sustainable futures.
